Module 3 TV, Film & Special Effects Make Up
If creativity and imagination are your strong points then you will shine in this module where anything goes! This course will teach you the specialist techniques needed to create the effect of stab wounds, bullet wounds, the effects of drug addiction, death, sweat, burns, bruises and scars, frost bite, how to use wax/putty to alter features and the creation, application and removal of readymade prosthetics. This is the module that can take you into the TV industry and maybe all the way to Hollywood!
This course is suitable to students who have completed Module 1 and 2.
Course Content
How to Create the following:
- Stab Wounds, Open Wounds, Cuts, Bullet Wounds
- Broken Legs, Arms, Noses
- Creating Casts for Broken Limbs
- Coldsores, Impetigo, Psoriasis, Dermatitis
- Bruises, Black Eyes, Frost Bite, Sunburn, Spots and Pimples
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Burns
- Heroin Addict Look or Recovering Addict
- Corpses
- Tears, Sweat, Blood
- Application of Prosthetics
- Working with Wax and Putty
Course Duration
This course will run evenings from 7pm - 10pm

What Do I Need to Buy?
Students need to purchase the TV, Film & Special Effects Make Up Kit . The kit will start you off in the business of Make Up Artistry and you can buy it directly at the wholesale price from our supplier. Details of this kit may be obtained on request. Students will also need to purchase the course text book.
