Indian Head Massage Course

An ideal qualification for those wishing to offer something extra to clients to help them relax in today’s stressful lifestyles. The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. It is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis while also improving hair growth and scalp conditions. It is becoming increasingly popular today and is a treatment commonly used by both therapists and hairdressers.

Course Content

  • Understanding Ayurveda and the History of Indian Head Massage
  • Development of IHM from traditional Indian culture to Western uses
  • Specific IHM Massage Movements
  • Effects and benefits of IHM
  • Specific conditions IHM can treat

Course Duration

One Monday a week for 4 weeks from 9.30am - 4.30pm

What Do I Need To Buy?

A Massage Kit will be needed for both college and home practice.  The kit will start you off in business in Holistic Therapies and you can buy it directly at the wholesale price from our supplier. Details of this kit may be obtained on request. Student will also need to purchase the course text book.
